Branding in Seongsu Episode 20 picks up where the previous episode left off. We previously saw Eun-ho confront Na-eon about stealing his and Da-eun’s brand proposal. When Eun-ho is giving Na-eon an earful, Yu-mi happens to listen in on their conversation. Following this, she figures out that Na-eon and Eun-ho have switched souls, and so the dots finally connect for her.
We see Na-eon, who’s in Eun-ho’s body, get home and try to make sense of things. After giving it some thought, she decides to cross-check if she has left any evidence behind from when she stole the brand proposal. As a consequence, the following day, she works under Director Han, given that she’s in Eun-ho’s body. When she acts suspicious towards Director Han, he hints at having evidence against Na-eon. He also tells her that he previously showed it to him, given that he’s under the assumption that she’s Eun-ho. Following this, we see Na-eon put a team together, as per Director Han’s suggestion.
We see Eun-ho, who’s in Na-eon’s body, attempting to help Director Han in order to take Na-eon down. He is seen working on the HQ project with the underground team, who are under the assumption that he’s Na-eon.
On the other hand, Yu-mi contacts Director Han and asks him to meet her. She goes on to tell him that she has some important news about Na-eon. When Director Han shows up to meet her, she tells him about the soul swap. He immediately laughs at her implications. However, he decides to cross-check it regardless. He tests the theory by asking Na-eon to attend a workshop. Na-eon doesn’t have any reaction to this. Previously, when he made this suggestion to Na-eon, she belittled him. This ends up confirming Yu-mi’s theory for him.
Later that day, Jenny learns that High Jet Technology uses liquid hydrogen battery technology. Given that HQ Motors claims to be the pioneering company to use the technology, she and the team conclude that something could be fishy. Following this, they learn that Segye Group is profiting off of another company’s ideas. This doesn’t sit right with Eun-ho, who’s in Na-eon’s body, especially since he experienced this firsthand. As a consequence, he and the underground team work towards exposing HQ Motors.
Later that night, Na-eon, who’s in Eun-ho’s body, goes to Director Han’s office and finds a hard drive, which has evidence against her stealing Eun-ho’s brand idea. On the other hand, team leader Nam finds Eun-ho asleep and gets rid of the presentation he had been working on to expose HQ Motors.
The next morning, the underground team finds Eun-ho, who’s in Na-eon’s body, asleep. When they go to see the presentation, they find that the data on the computer has been deleted. Just as they’re about to go fetch the CEO of High Jet Technology, they find him with Na-eon, who’s in Eun-ho’s body.
In episode 20, Eun-ho confronts Na-eon about stealing his brand proposal in the past. Eun-ho tells Director Han about the soul switch between Na-eon and Eun-ho. Eun-ho works with the underground team to expose HQ Motors. On the other hand, Na-eon is seen attempting to get rid of the evidence Director Han has against her.
The drama in the storyline is at an all-time high. At this point, the mystery in the show is slowly coming to light, and the dots have begun to connect. However, the supernatural element and the fact that Yu-mi and Director Han accept it rather casually still seem bizarre and unrealistic.
We hope things pick up for the show, given that we’re getting closer to the final episode. Given that we are three episodes away from the final episode, it’ll be interesting to see the direction the show takes moving forward.
