Branding in Seongsu Episode 18 opens with Na-eon receiving a message from Eun-ho. He tells her that if she is seriously interested in finding out the truth, she has to make her way to the Mangyeon temple. In response to this, Na-eon makes a beeline for the temple in search of answers. When Na-eon enters the temple, she finds pictures of Eun-ho with Da-eun.
Not long after that, Na-eon spots Eun-ho, who is inside the temple. When she confronts him, he reveals to her that they had previously met, even before she was assigned to be his professor. Within the next week, he asks her to recall the time when they had their first encounter and to be ready with an apology in the event that she wishes to be spared.
Immediately after this, we discover that Na-eon is reflecting on a candle project that she worked on five years ago. From that moment forward, it appears that she began to experience nightmares in which she was being strangled by hands. We soon find out that Na-eon burned Bandi Incense’s proposal after stealing its idea. This venture was a significant contributor to the advancement of Na-eon’s professional career.
Things quickly begin to unravel for Na-eon. In an extremely arrogant manner, Yu-mi speaks with Na-eon, stating that she has to give her something. Meanwhile, at Seongsu Agency, a poster of Na-eon is put on display, claiming to expose her past. Na-eon then makes a hasty return to her home to have a talk with Eun-ho. However, she doesn’t find him there; rather, she discovers everything messed up in the house. At this point, Na-eon is wondering if Eun-ho has anything to do with Bandi Incense.
In the meantime, Director Han reveals to Eun-ho that Na-eon was the one responsible for the events that occurred five years ago. On account of the fact that Eun-ho and Da-eun had the intention of achieving success on a global scale with their business, the news is extremely upsetting to him.
Shortly after, we see Director Han contact Eun-ho. Following that, he tells him that if he wants proof against Na-eon, he needs to finish his job. In the meantime, Na-eon is looking for some dirt on Director Han so she can have some leverage over him and get the situation under control. She comes to the conclusion that the only way to accomplish this is to insist that HQ Motors return her Project.
By the time the episode is coming to a close, Na-eon is attempting to take the project away from Segye. However, Eun-ho shows up in time and confronts her. As they are trying to take the project for themselves, they are seen having a severe headache coupled with ringing sounds, indicating their souls are going to switch again. On the other hand, we witness Da-eun bringing about the manifestation of the soul swap situation. She then says that this is their last chance and the episode comes to a close.
In episode eighteen, Na-eon realises that Eun-ho is the person from whom she had stolen a proposal five years ago. On the other hand, Eun-ho seems to be wanting to teach Na-eon a lesson. We also find out that Da-eun, who is Eun-ho’s friend and business partner, is the one who is responsible for the soul swapping.
As was the case with the episodes that came before it, the supernatural component of the show continues to make the storyline of the show extremely chaotic. In addition, the characters and the journeys that they go through are not particularly fascinating. Given that we are quickly reaching the end of the show, we are hoping that things will pick up for the show. On the other hand, considering the way the show is currently going, that does not appear to be a plausible scenario.
