The episode opens up with the first time Kyung-min comes to Jeong-woo’s house to teach him and feels pity even before he meets him. However, the cheerful Jeong-woo found his way to Kyung-min’s heart and the two become closer with each passing day. However, Kyung-min singlehandedly destroyed this relationship.

Back in the present, Ha-neul and Kyung-min get into an accident and are rushed to the hospital while Wol-seong receives a call from the hospital regarding the accident. Jeong-woo is right next to her and overhears the conversation after which he takes the responsibility to take care of the family and rushes them to the hospital.

The surgery soon begins and Jeong-woo tries to keep the family calm while he portrays a reliant image of himself. Soon, the surgery comes to an end in the morning hours and the doctors tell them that there are no complications in Ha-neul’s case. Assuring everyone that things will be alright, Jeong-woo is finally relieved along with Ha-neul’s family.

The family then thinks about who will stay back at the hospital as visiting hours wouldn’t begin until later in the evening. Jeong-woo takes Ba-da and goes home as he has some surgeries lined up while Ba-da shows his determination to do better in life. This incident has shaken him up and he cannot help but think about what he now needs to do.

With this, the family now waits for Ha-neul to open her eyes which is taking longer than expected. The next day, Jeong-woo follows up with his teacher’s progress when he asks about Ha-neul and hands over a note that he found on the day the two had collapsed. Jeong-woo opens it to read the message which tells him to work hard together with her and that everything will be alright.

The message from the past brings tears to the present Jeong-woo who is filled with a newfound energy to wait for Ha-neul. Right then he sees a notification on his phone and rushes to the hospital where he finds Ha-neul awake and waiting for him. Having understood that everything he feels at this time is not because of attraction or friendship, he hugs Ha-neul and confesses his love for her.

Later, Ha-neul’s family also arrives and an argument about who gets to stay with her erupts. Jeong-woo secretly joins in the decision-making and convinces everyone that he is fit to stay with her. He makes the three leave and they begin to think about what happened after getting out of the ward.

Meanwhile, Jeong-woo takes Ha-neul outside to get some fresh air and he asks her about what happened during the accident. Ha-neul is not ready to answer this so Jeong-woo lets go and once again confesses his love to her. However, this is overheard by Dae-young and Hong-rang who have arrived to check up on Ha-neul.

Dae-young teases Jeong-woo about the same but then asks about who she was with during the accident. Jeong-woo tells him that he hasn’t asked Ha-neul about this and that will wait for her to come around and tell him herself.

However, he doesn’t let it out that he is aware of Ha-neul having met Kyung-min and getting into the accident with him. The next day, Ba-da worries that Jeong-woo is upset that Ha-neul got into an accident with Kyung-min and fills up Wol-seon’s ears.

Surprisingly, they are greeted by the scene of Jeong-woo and Ha-neul being affectionate which reassures the two. However, Wol-seon takes the initiative to explain to Ha-neul when he is leaving for work. This reminds Jeong-woo about Kyung-min who is on the verge of dying.

At work, he is surprised to see that all his coworkers are aware of his relationship. Right then, Jin-seok arrives which surprises Jeong-woo as he had failed to connect with him all this time. Jin-seok then tells him that he had installed seven cameras in his office and only six were found by the police which surprises Jeong-woo.

Jin-seok is satisfied with his reaction and tells him about how Kyung-min defended himself when he said the same thing to him. Jeong-woo then gets a call from the police station where the detective shows him a video of Kyung-min that was previously identified by Ba-da and Ha-neul.

He then tells Jeong-woo about how he fell into their radar of suspicion after Ha-neul pointed out how he could’ve been involved. He then plays the recording from the dashcam in Kyung-min’s car, right before the accident happened. Jeong-woo listens to it and is shocked at how he was involved in putting Ha-neul in danger.

Jeong-woo later dashes into Ha-neul’s ward and confronts her about the same and tells her how he felt when she was going through the surgery. He may have looked alright but he was the most scared as he couldn’t imagine being without her. He asks her why she would put herself in danger for him and rushes out of there in anger.

Jeong-woo blames himself for Ha-neul’s accident and takes some time to cool off. Ha-neul soon arrives next to him and first apologises to him before starting her side of the story. She tells him that she did not think rationally back then and was desperate to know the truth. While she is scared, she does not wish to change anything even if she gets to go back in time.

She couldn’t tell him as he just started healing and about how important he was to her now. He was the one she thought about in her dying moment as that is how much she loves him. This is her way of loving him, she wishes to protect him for as long as possible. With this, Jeong-woo’s heart melts and he takes her into his arms.

Meanwhile, Dae-young and Hong-ran continue to get closer as the latter reveals her divorce story. As the rain washes away the pain and brings in new expectations, Ha-neul tries to bring a new day in their lives and tells Jeong-woo about Kyung-min’s last words to her which were not recorded.

She tells him how Kyung-min targeted him as revenge for what his mother did to him that made him lose his father. Kyung-min remembers how Jeong-woo’s mother did not let him out of their house so that he could prepare Jeong-woo all day long. Due to this, he was unable to save his father which began his road to revenge.

Later, Kyung-min asks to meet Jeong-woo and he tries to clarify everything so that he can get forgiveness. However, Jeong-woo is not ready to accept his apology. He then comes out and cries in Ha-neul’s harm for the loss of a dear brother. As Ha-neul takes care of Seon-yul, it is the day of a funeral that Jeong-woo must attend.

The show has moved from exciting to heart-touching themes as the show nears its end. Jeong-woo and Ha-neul know how to work in a relationship and the commitment that they have for each other is remarkable. Their way of communicating and taking care of each other is very different but is worth the smiles that accompany it.

The couple is surely perfect, however, our support couple- Dae-young and Hong-ran are not falling behind and are showing us their type of affection to all. This slow yet heartwarming couple is definitely a pleasure to watch and has become another reason to love this show.

Meanwhile, the Jeong-Ha couple is only getting better with each week and has been stable in its position. However, with just three more episodes to go, to what extent will we get to follow this journey?
