TVING’s upcoming drama “Pyramid Game” has shared stills of WJSN’s Bona!
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Pyramid Game” is a thriller drama set in an all-girls high school. Every month, all the students are graded through a popularity vote, and if they receive an F grade, they are officially appointed as the target of school violence.
WJSN’s Bona will play the lead character Sung Su Ji, a second-year student who becomes the target of the pyramid game as soon as she transfers to the school. To break the twisted cycle of the pyramid system, Sung Su Ji pushes herself to become the leader of a rebellion.
The newly released stills capture Sung Su Ji immediately after transferring to Baekyeon Girls’ High School. Having transferred schools multiple times, Sung Su Ji doesn’t find it difficult adjusting to new schools. However, nothing could have prepared her for the unexpected “Pyramid Game” she encounters at her new school.
Sung Su Ji’s school life takes a chaotic turn when she becomes the target of the pyramid game, and the anger she feels is evident in her eyes. Will Su Ji, who chooses to confront the situation head-on instead of enduring it silently, be able to break the twisted cycle of the pyramid system?
Describing her character, Bona remarked, “[Sung Su Ji] is a confident and intelligent character. She doesn’t accept or give up on the ‘Pyramid Game’ like the other students in her class. She’s not endlessly nice, and she’s cold, but she isn’t only cold. I think ‘cool’ is the best word to describe her. I tried to focus on this aspect of her in my acting.”
Recalling that she found the script unique and interesting from the very first time she read it, Bona went on, “‘Mind game’ is the keyword that best describes ‘Pyramid Game.’ What’s appealing [about the story] is that insteading of responding with violence, victims find other ways to fight back within the game.”
“Pyramid Game” is set to premiere on February 29.
