Recap Thailand Drama "The Miracle of Teddy Bear" Episode 4

The Miracle of Teddy Bear (คุณหมีปาฏิหาริย์) is a Thai romantic-drama-fantasy series directed by Paajaew Yuthana Lorphanpaibul and stars Sarin Ronnakiat, Thuchapon Koowongbundit, Thanapon Jarujitranon and Parada Chutchavalchotikul, alongside other cast members. The series has 15 episodes and The Miracle of Teddy Bear episode 4 has a runtime of 89 minutes.

The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 4 picks up the rope from the ending of the third episode. We see Tofu in Jan’s house and, Jan revealing about Saen being her husband and, Sibmeun being Na’s. She says that it was, in fact, Na’s decision to marry Sibmeun and, not Saen. In a flashback, we understand why Na made the decision, as Saen seemed to be a less dependable man than Sibmeun. In the present day, Na is taken to the hospital by Nut, Gen and, Gen’s family. At discharge, we see Saen at the hospital calling out for Na but, she is unable to hear and moves on.

Sitha, Gen’s father sees Saen and, intimates to him about Na’s condition. He also insists that Saen visit Na and Nut, sometimes, if possible. Meanwhile, Nut puts his mother to bed and, reflects on his anger issues when it comes to his mother. Tofu approaches Nut and, shares that he has talked to Jan and, now understand the family situation. Even though Nut is initially angry at Tofu for interacting with Jan, soon warms up, tends to Tofu’s wounds and shares his thoughts and emotions. Tofu hugs Nut by the end of it and, Nut lets him as he sheds some tears.

The next morning, Na accidentally drops ketchup on their dog- Kuenchai. Nut takes him for a shower, volunteered by Tofu. The two are playful in this segment and, hose down each other with water with sparks and bubbles flying all around. This is interrupted by Prib, who is shocked to find them on top of one another, soaking wet. Once inside the house, Prib inquires about the situation which is met with a logical reply that Nut and Tofu slipped, which is supported by Na too. Later Prib sneaks Tofu out and asks him to help her make Nut her boyfriend, this conversation is overheard by Nut.

Prib asks Tofu to spill all the beans on Nut and, he does starting from what he likes to read and eat and wear to his shower routine, which makes Prib question him about how he knows so much. Tofu slyly answers the question. Tofu, on the other hand, asks Prib about Nut’s office routine. Later, Prib is shocked to see Kuenchai wearing the t-shirt that she had gotten for Nut from Chaing Mai.

The next day in the office Juea picks a list of actors he wants for the script along with Nut, which includes Song. Gen is, of course, not happy about it and, Song also pulls his leg in annoyance. Later, Song visits Nut’s place to pick up Tofu, so his father could meet Tofu as he has been missing Neung uncontrollably. Song’s father is delighted to see Tofu and, the three play a match of basketball together. Tofu tries to know about Neung from his father and, he learns about his friends and girlfriend but, not Nut’s presence in Neung’s life which confuses him.

Song drops off Tofu at the house, where Tofu finds Na changing the bulb, slipping to fall, only to be caught by Saen. He leaves in a hurry as a crying Na is pulled inside the house by Tofu. Jan confronts Saen outside Nut’s house and asks him if he was planning to leave without actually even seeing his wife. Jan invites Saen to their house but, immediately starts accusing him of loving Na, sleeping with her and, wishing for Tarn’s death so she can inherit all her father’s money. An upset Saen walks out but, Jan follows him desperately and says that he only loves Nut because he is Saen’s own son.

This is exactly when Nut walks into the scene, hears the accusation and, offers to drive Saen away from Jan’s insanity. Meanwhile, Na and Tofu watch Nut leaving in his car. When Tofu goes out to find out what has happened gets to know about Saen and Jan’s big fight and, Nut drives the former away. Nut and Saen sit at a cafe later and talk and, another flashback reveals that Nut and Saen have always been warm to one another but, it was Sibmeun who did not like Saen’s presence in their family.

The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 4 ends with Tofu talking to Na’s slippers and, deducing that there must be something more to Na, Saen and Jan’s story that keeps them all at the edge.

Final Thoughts: The Miracle of Teddy Bear Episode 4

The fourth episode brings momentum to the story of this Thai series. As confusing as it was at the beginning, things make a lot more sense and, more human development and growth are visible with every passing episode. We get to see Nut deal with his issues, Tofu’s love for Nut and his constant quest to find out about himself, Na’s pains and struggles. This particular episode even brings the lesser-known characters like Anik, Song, Jan- all of their individual feelings and emotions to light.
