Lee Yeon Hee, TVXQ’s Yunho, Hong Jong Hyun, and Moon So Ri have been confirmed for a brand new drama!
Earlier this year, it was reported that the four will be starring in the new Disney+ original series “Race” (literal title), an office drama following the story of employee Park Yoon Jo. She doesn’t possess many qualifications, but she has a lot of passion. Park Yoon Jo’s story takes off when she meets her role model in the office, and her journey of growth begins from there. It has now been confirmed that the four actors will be part of the series’s main cast.
Lee Yeon Hee will be taking on the starring role of Park Yoon Jo, a woman who neither comes from a prestigious school nor a well-known family but who lives her life forging her own path. Through her character, Lee Yeon Hee will be portraying the life of a typical worker in the ’90s.
Hong Jong Hyun will be playing the office ace Ryu Jae Min, a man who is widely recognized by his coworkers for his skills. But Ryu Jae Min makes a clear distinction between his work life and personal life, something that contrasts greatly with Park Yoon Jo’s own style.
Moon So Ri will be playing Goo Yi Jung, a professional in the public relations industry. She approaches her work and the world through rational judgement and possesses a very level-headed type of charisma. Together with Park Yoon Jo, Goo Yi Jung will show viewers a type of friendship and unity that go beyond generational gaps.
Finally, TVXQ’s Yunho will be playing the public relations agency’s representative Seo Dong Hoon. He is an admirable leader, a man who values freedom of expression and possess a very open mindset even in the face of limitations.
A representative of the series commented, “‘Race’ is the story of people who are running their own race from their individual places in life. The key point of the series is how these four people will affect one another and how they will complete one another’s chemistry.”
“Race” will be released sometime in the first half of 2023. Stay tuned for updates!
