Yoon Jong Shin Speaks About Using IU As The Motif For His Netflix Film Project “Persona”
Mar 26, 2019
Yoon Jong Shin, who organized the original series “Persona” by global Internet entertainment company Netflix, discussed everything from the start of the new project to the casting of IU.
“Persona” is a new short film project that will feature IU in four different stories told by four different directors: Im Pil Sung, Lee Kyung Mi, Kim Jong Kwan, and Jeon Go Woon. IU will play an entirely different character in each of the four films, which were all inspired by the actress.
Yoon Jong Shin is a leading South Korean composer, singer, and all-around entertainer who has been carrying on the “Monthly Yoon Jong Shin” project for about ten years since 2010 and has continued his steady activities in several programs.
Yoon Jong Shin, who has long said that he has been interested in stories that are the source of his creations, shared, “I thought the creativity of the director in a short film is more displayed and his own story comes out. So I came up with an idea to tell the story of one actor and four directors.”
The unique series “Persona,” which is directed by four directors with diverse personalities, has drawn more public attention with IU joining the group. Yoon Jong Shin praised her as an actress who allows the creators to conjure up a variety of motifs with his or her imagination. IU skillfully played out four completely different attractive characters through “Persona.” The film series captures the charm of the actress and shows a variety of performances.
“Persona” will be released via Netflix on April 5. In the meantime, check out the preview here!
