Wonderful World 2024 K Drama Episode 9

Soo-hyun is struck by Yu-ri’s betrayal and recalls the time when Yu-ri became part of her family. Recalling all the good times with her sister, Soo-hyun cannot digest the betrayal she has faced from the two people she trusted the most. Meanwhile, Go-eun arrives at Yu-ri’s boutique to see her being beaten by a woman.

She hurries to save her and realises that the woman is Yu-ri’s biological mother. She pushes the woman away from Yu-ri but the woman mocks her for being foolish and not realising what has been happening behind her back. She then slips a picture inside Yu-ri’s pocket and leaves from there.

Seon-yul observes the events from afar and hands over the promised money to the woman for her work. Meanwhile, Soo-hyun comes out to see her mother consoling Yu-ri and asks her to leave. She assures her to take care of everything and makes Go-eun leave the store. Elsewhere, Seon-yul has sent a picture of the store to Su-ho, letting him know of his location.

Su-ho rushes to the store while Yu-ri tries to calm herself in the washroom. She then recalls the picture the woman slipped into her pocket and reaches to see that it is a picture of the mistake she committed with Su-ho. She tries to calm herself and keep this secret hidden after which she leaves.

On the other hand, Su-ho rushes to the store where he comes across Yu-ri’s mother and later Seon-yul. The two make a brief eye contact after which Seon-yul’s eyes land on Yu-ri and he walks past her while making sure that Su-ho has his eyes on them. Later, Yu-ri returns to her office where she tries to keep her calm in front of Soo-hyun.

However, Soo-hyun doesn’t waste her time and confronts that she is aware of the truth and everything that happened between Yu-ri and Su-ho. Yu-ri is shocked while Soo-hyun tells her that she is not ready to face her right now and cannot forgive her for what she did. She needs time to clear her head and upon saying this she walks away.

Soo-hyun drives away to a parking lot where she recalls all the moments spent with Yu-ri upon her return from prison. However, all those moments seem fake to her as the one who smiled at her this whole time had stabbed her back a long time. Soo-hyun cries her heart out because of the two while Seon-yul observes her from afar.

He then meets his friends and celebrates his first victory while Su-ho finds out that Soo-hyun has found the truth. He then heads home where Soo-hyun waits for him. Su-ho gets on his knees to apologise to her but Soo-hyun only blames him for returning even after she let go of him. She is completely distressed by what they have done when she was going through her hardest times.

She continues to fault him for returning after committing this crime and now finds it hard to accept that she was already looking forward to the three living a happy life together. Su-ho apologises to her but Soo-hyun tells him that it is too late as he has ruined everything and no longer belongs to her.

Soo-hyun walks away from there and looks back to her happy life which is replaced with images of her husband with her sister. Elsewhere, Yu-ri is in distress and is reminded of the night when everything went down the path of ruin for the trio. She then calls her biological mother to talk things out when Soo-hyun arrives to meet the woman and makes her hang up.

Soo-hyun walks to the woman and tells her to stay away from Yu-ri as she will not let her mess with Yu-ri. The woman is shocked while Soo-hyun makes it clear that she will not be able to get anything out of the sisters from the blackmail. She then goes to meet Seon-yul and makes it clear that she will not break anytime soon.

She once again makes it clear that she does not regret what happened years back and will stand strong against his actions. As Soo-hyun walks away after saying this, Seon-yul is relieved that he can go ahead with his plan without feeling guilty. Meanwhile, Su-ho makes plans to meet Seon-yul and arrives at his workplace.

He tells Seon-yul to stay away from Soo-hyun and come to him for revenge. Su-ho is ready to give it all up if he can shield his wife and pleads with Seon-yul to change his target. However, his words don’t affect Seon-yul as he is fixated on extracting his revenge from Soo-hyun.

The next day, Su-ho teams up with Hye-geum and prepares to drop a bomb on Kim Joon on the day of his interview with Su-ho. However, Seon-yul has already alerted Kim Joon about this and sent across information that is bound to get them in trouble. Elsewhere, Soo-hyun finally meets Yu-ri and tells her that she has no plans to abandon her as long as she is her mother’s daughter.

Wonderful World Episode 9 Ending

She is not willing to hurt her mother again and is ready to put up with Yu-ri. On the other hand, Seon-yul is ready to make his next move and heads out with an envelope. Soon, Soo-hyun finds out that her mother’s cell phone is with Seon-yul which makes her rush home only to see a mess.

From there, she rushes to the hospital to see her mother unconscious. Soo-hyun calls Yu-ri to look after her mother and heads out. Meanwhile, Kim Joon has arrived at the broadcast station and is ready to begin his battle with Su-ho. We then see Seon-yul inside a car while Soo-hyun is standing on the road in front of him.

As the scene from episode 1 repeats itself, what will the result of this fateful meet be?

Wonderful World Episode 9 Review

As the finale weekend draws closer, the intensity of the plot heightens and we are left speechless with the twists that keep showing themselves up. This episode was yet another revolting performance as we are left with more hatred as well as a divided fandom of viewers who are either supporting Soo-hyun or Seon-yul.

It is understandable and I have to compliment the writers who can create two characters who are both right and wrong at the same time. The characters have surely been well thought of and I have loved how every actor has a story that gets more intense with every passing episode.
