Watch: 2PM’s Taecyeon Is Disheartened About His New Job In Teaser For Historical Drama

2PM’s Taecyeon’s upcoming drama has released a second teaser!

tvN’s “The Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi” (literal translation) is a historical comedy investigation drama about a young gourmet named Ra Yi Eon (Taecyeon) who ends up becoming a secret royal inspector (an undercover government official who investigates the provinces for corruption). He eventually teams up with Kim Jo Yi (Kim Hye Yoon), a divorced woman who is searching for happiness.

Ra Yi Eon wants nothing more than to open a small dumpling store outside the capital, where land is cheap. However, his sharp mind gets him through the state examination and even secures him a coveted spot in the Office of Special Advisors. Against his will, he is appointed as a secret royal inspector, a career path that others would kill for, but he is mostly concerned with getting off work as fast as possible and taking time off for lunch.

The new teaser shows Ra Yi Eon’s concerns with his new position. He receives the royal order appointing him as a secret royal inspector and he begins to think, “The first inspector… I heard people lost contact. I heard the second inspector vanished.”

He sheds a tear and continues, “The last inspector… missing.” He adds in disbelief, “Of all people, it had to be me? An inspector?”
