So Yu Mi is a South Korean singer and a former member of the girl groups VNT and Kiss&Cry. She graduated from Anyang Arts High School and made her debut in 2010 as the main dancer, lead vocalist and visual of VNT.
The group debuted with the single album "Sound" but was not successful and disbanded less than a year later. She was then supposed to re-debut as a member of VIVA GIRLS, but the agency, Media Line Entertainment, ran into financial problems, and the group never debuted.
In 2014, she joined Winning Insight Media and became the vocalist, lead dancer and maknae of the newly created group Kiss&Cry releasing dual singles "Domino Game" and "Bad Girl". However, the group lasted about 6 months before disbanding in mid-2014. She appeared on MR.MR's "Do You Feel Me" MV and later decided to switch to trot and made her solo debut in 2015 with the single "Shake Me Up".
She is the daughter of trot singer So Myung, so she decided to follow in her father's footsteps after several unsuccessful tries as an idol singer. In 2020, she entered "Ms. Trot 2" but was surprisingly eliminated in the preliminary rounds, and she is now trying to become more well-known in the industry.
