Shin Hye Sun, known by her official romanization as Shin Hae Sun, is a South Korean actress managed by YNK Entertainment. Inspired by Won Bin’s performance in the drama “Autumn Tale”, Shin entered the Film Art program at Sejong University and made her acting debut in the 2012 television drama “School 2013.” Her breakthrough came in 2016 in the series "Five Enough". In 2017, she played her first lead role in the film "A Day". Soon after, she was cast in her first lead role in the television series "My Golden Life". The drama was a major hit and surpassed 40% ratings leading to increased recognition for Shin.
In 2016, in the Scene Stealer Festival, she won “Rookie of the Year”.
In 2017, in the KBS Drama Awards, she won the “Excellence Award, Actress in a Serial Drama” and “Top Excellence Award, Actress” award.
In 2018, in the SBS Drama Awards, she won “Top Excellence Award, Actress in a Monday-Tuesday Drama”, in the APAN Star Awards, she won “Top Excellence Award, Actress in a Serial Drama”.
In 2019, in the KBS Drama Awards, she won “Top Excellence Award, Actress” and “Best Couple Award”.
In 2020, Shin appeared in her first lead role in the 2020 legal film "Innocence". She received positive reviews for her performance in it and got nominated in the “Best New Actress” category at the 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards.
In 2021, in the Korean Film Producers Association Awards, she won “Close-up Award”.
