Ni Ni, born in Nanjing, Jiangsu, is a Chinese actress considered to be one of the “New Four Dan Actresses” by Southern Metropolis Daily. She is currently under her own studio named Ni Nin studio.
Ni Ni graduated from the Communication University of China, specializing in television broadcasting and hosting. She is a retired national second-level swimmer, also winning the all-around champion of Jiangsu Province in the international standard dance.
Ni Ni made her debut in "The Flowers of War", being cast for being a native of Nanjing and becoming a new "Mou Girl". She received acclaim for her performance in the film and rose to fame.
In 2012 at the 6th Asian Film Awards, Ni Ni won the Best Newcomer award. She subsequently won; the Most Popular Actress award at the 12th Chinese Film Media Awards, Best Actress award at the 21st Shanghai Film Critics Awards, and Most Popular Film Actress award at the 3rd LeTV Entertainment Awards.
