Lee Kyung Young is a South Korean actor. He also wrote and directed the films "The Gate of Destiny" and "The Beauty in Dream."
He debuted in 1977 and became a public relations actor for the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) in 1982 after completing his mandatory military service. He was a voice actor for a year then returned to KBS in 1983.
In 2002, Lee was blacklisted by MBC since he was arrested in 2001 for the statutory rape of a minor. He was charged with prostitution of a minor with the promise of starring the girl in a movie. Lee was found guilty and sentenced with 160 hours of social service and ten months in prison with two years of probation. MBC lifted the ban in 2021, casting him in a prominent support role in The Veil.
