Kang Yu Chan is a South Korean singer, actor, former member of UNB and current member of A.C.E. He graduated from Jeju Joongang High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree from Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts. Before debuting he was a trainee at JYP Entertainment and was part of a dancing crew that specialized in popping called Alive87 using the stage name Aka Buggy.
He debuted in 2017 as the main vocalist and maknae of A.C.E with their single "Cactus". Later that year, he entered the singing survival show "The Unit" and finished in 9th place so was selected to join the project group UNB which debuted in April 2018 and ended activities about a year later. As an actor, he debuted with a minor role in "Hello, My Twenties! 2" in 2017 but he is most recognized by his lead role in the 2020 web drama "Twenty-Twenty". He was also the co-host of "Idol Wonderland" alongside Highlight's Lee Ki Kwang.
On August 16, 2022, he enlisted for his mandatory military service as an active duty soldier. He is expected to be discharged on February 15, 2024.
On August 12, 2023, he changed his stage name Chan back to his real name Kang Yu Chan.
