Jung Yong Hwa is a South Korean singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. He has been the sole leader of the K-Rock/K-pop band CNBLUE since 2009. He moved to Busan in 1991 where he attended high school and first began composing music. After taking his college entrance exam, he moved back to Seoul, joining FNC Music.
In 2009, Yong Hwa and his band left for Japan to study music. While there, they played street performances and released indie albums. In 2009, Yong Hwa landed his first acting role in the SBS drama ‘You're Beautiful’ playing a member of the fictional band, A.N.Jell. Nearly two years after his acting debut, Yong Hwa snagged the lead in ‘Heartstrings’.
