Kim Hyeok Gyu, known professionally as Deft, is a South Korean professional gamer. He attended Mapo High School (the same school as fellow gamer Faker) but dropped out and later passed the high school qualification examination in order to obtain his diploma. He plays "League of Legends" and made his gaming debut in 2013 as a member of the team MVP Blue. Six months later he joined Samsung Blue and qualified for the Season 4 World Championships but the team was eliminated in the semifinal by their sister team, Samsung White. In 2015, he joined Chinese team EDward Gaming alongside his former teammate PawN but failed to bring a championship to China. He returned to South Korea in 2016 after joining KT Rolster and spent time with 3 other times until 2022 when he joined DRX. The team won the Season 12 World Championships and, at age 26, he became the oldest professional player to win the "League of Legends" championship. After the tournament he joined DPlus KIA.
