Choi Yoo Ree is a South Korean singer-songwriter. She graduated from Pyeongchang High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Composition from Dong-Ah University of Media and Arts. In 2018, she was winner of the prestigious 29th Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest that has launched the career of several singers like Yoo Hee Yeol or Sweet Sorrow. She won with the self-written song "Complaint" and was immediately labeled as one of the most promising indie and pop singers. She released a digital single, "Regret" in 2019 and also signed with Shofar Entertainment. She made her official debut in 2020 with the EP "Shape" that included her previous songs and 2 of them were recommended by IU in all her social media. She released three more EPs in 2021 and her song "Wish" became an OST for the drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" earning her a nomination for Best OST at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards. She is gaining more popularity thanks to her work as she has now done OSTs for "Sh**ting Stars", "If You Wish Upon Me", among others and released her fifth EP in 2022.
