Cheung Tat Ming graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1986. He began to write awarded stage plays in the late '80s, he was recruited as coordinator and host of The New Drama Project 1994 of the HK Arts Center. He entered into the film industry as a scriptwriter, but very soon he showed his talent for comedy performance. He won the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor for I'm Livin' It (2019).
