Cao Lu is a Chinese singer, actress, TV personality and former member of FIESTAR (피에스타). She made her debut in China, under the stage name Lu Lu, in 2004 with the release of her 1st EP, "Cat". She then moved to South Korea to become a K-pop star, and she became a trainee under LOEN Entertainment.
She debuted as a member of FIESTAR in 2012 as the Chinese leader, lead dancer, vocalist and face of the group with their 1st single album, "Vista". She also continued her education and graduated from Chung-Ang University with a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film. The group was not successful, and in 2018, the company announced the members would not renew their expiring contracts and, as a result, FIESTAR was disbanded. Later that year, she signed with I OK Entertainment, but her TV appearances in South Korea decreased sharply, and by early 2020 her social media accounts only had pictures of her in China.
In 2023, she returned to broadcasts in South Korea, appearing in an episode of "King of Mask Singer". There, she revealed she went back to China for several years to care for her elderly parents and had to wait for her Korean visa to be processed, which had delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and also had to deal with the strict travel restrictions that China implemented during this time.
