In Perfect Marriage Revenge Episode 2, Yi-joo and Se-hyeok’s engagement is broken off. He suggests they delay the wedding and tries to convince her. The fact that he has feelings for her sister Yoo-ra, however, solidifies her conviction that they will never get married.
Yi-joo’s behaviour upon returning home is quite defiant. She overhears the fact that Yoo-ra is in love with Do-kook. Given that she wants revenge from her family, she decides to get together with Do-kook as it’ll break her sister’s heart.
Yi-joo quickly follows up with a visit to her friend Soo-jin, a journalist. Using her friend as a bridge, she intends to meet Do-kook before Yoo-ra does. Moreover, she suggests that her friend snap pictures of their meeting and publish them in the newspaper, as this will undoubtedly seal the deal.
As planned, Yi-joo meets with Do-kook just before his date with Yoo-ra. She tells him she has an excellent agreement to offer and asks him to marry her. Soon after, Yoo-ra walks in and she’s shocked to see her sister with her date. Following this, Do-kook tells Yoo-ra that he plans to marry her sister. Yoo-ra grows incredibly angry and frustrated as he then takes Yi-joo to the hotel room in front of her.
As soon as Yi-joo enters the room, she tells Do-kook that she is aware that his grandmother will only promote him to CEO of the Taeja Group after getting married. She then tells him that after they get married, their finances will be kept separate, and he is free to do as he pleases. She also says that she is willing to divorce him.
Yi-joo quickly gets drunk and cries in front of Do-kook. Ultimately, they share a passionate hug that leaves him completely besotted.
Yoo-ra, in the meantime, gets in touch with Se-hyeok and calls him to the lower level of the hotel. She proceeds by telling him that her sister accompanied Do-kook inside the room. He initially can’t believe her, but decides to wait for an explanation from Yi-joo. Following this, both Yoo-ra and Se-hyeok attempt to contact Yi-joo, who is ignoring their calls.
The next morning, Yi-joo discovers she and Do-kook are sharing a bed. Following that, she writes him a note promising to get in touch with him later.
On getting home, Yi-joo is confronted by Yoo-ra, Jung-hye, Se-hyeok and Jin-wong. Following that, she tells them she slept with Do-kook and asks them to put an end to the chaos. She is then locked in her room. Additionally, her phone is taken away from her.
Do-kook, meanwhile, visits his family members. He tells his family that he intends to marry the oldest daughter of the Hanwool family. On the other hand, Yi-joo is able to borrow a phone from the window of a passing little girl. She then reaches out to Do-kook for help.
While this is happening, Jung-hye walks in on Yi-joo talking to Do-kook. Soon after, she starts treating Yi-joo extremely harshly and using very cutting words. However, Do-kook happens to walk in on their fight. After that, he approaches Jin-wong to ask for Yi-joo’s hand in marriage. When he gives his consent, Do-kook takes Yi-joo.
Following that, he decides to take Yi-joo out to eat. Yi-joo sobs and confides in him about her dire situation. Soon after, he uses a flower to propose to her. The episode ends with a kiss between the couple after she has agreed to marry him.
