New stills from “The Forbidden Marriage” hint at the wild transformation Park Ju Hyun will undergo for the series!

Based on the web novel of the same name, “The Forbidden Marriage” will star Kim Young Dae as King Yi Heon, who falls so deep into despair after the death of his wife that he ends up prohibiting marriage in his kingdom. Seven years after the loss of his wife (played by Kim Min Ju), who was then the crown princess, he comes across a con artist named So Rang (Park Ju Hyun) who claims that she can be possessed by the late princess’ spirit.

On December 5, the drama released stills displaying So Rang’s diverse charms. So Rang is an elite con artist who has the whole nation in the palm of her hand thanks to her eloquent speech and quick thinking. When she enters the palace unexpectedly, she faces the wild adventure that awaits her.

The new photos highlight So Rang’s easygoing and refreshing character. They induce curiosity for how her special way with words wins over everyone at the palace.

There are also growing expectations for how Park Ju Hyun will pull off So Rang’s character, which has such a wide range. At one point, So Rang is a matchmaker working at a teahouse. At another, she turns into a palace girl who tricks the king.

“The Forbidden Marriage” will premiere on December 9 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
