tvN has officially responded to the reports of BTS’s V joining the new spin-off of the hit reality show “Youn’s Kitchen.”
Last month, tvN confirmed that producing director (PD) Na Young Suk would be creating a new program called “Seo Jin’s” (working title), a spin-off of his show “Youn’s Kitchen,” about a cast of stars opening and running a small Korean restaurant overseas. With Youn Yuh Jung busy filming Season 2 of “Pachinko,” Lee Seo Jin will be taking over as the boss of the new restaurant, and he will be joined by “Youn’s Kitchen” cast members Park Seo Joon and Jung Yu Mi, as well as their “Youn’s Stay” co-star Choi Woo Shik.
On December 6, StarNews reported that V would also be appearing in “Seo Jin’s”—and that he had recently gone to Mexico to secretly film the show together with his close friends Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik.
Later that evening, a spokesperson for tvN commented, “Regarding the possibility of BTS member V appearing on tvN’s new variety show ‘Seo Jin’s,’ we are in the process of checking whether it’s true with the producers who are currently filming on location abroad. Due to the difference in time zones, it’s taking some time for us to check the facts, so we ask for your understanding.”
tvN has also chosen not to reveal precisely where the show is being filmed. Back when the show’s production was announced, the network stated, “For the sake of a safe and smooth shoot, we cannot reveal the filming location in advance.”
“Seo Jin’s” is currently slated to premiere in the first half of 2023.
Are you excited to potentially see V appear alongside his friends in this new show?
