Lim Ji Yeon And Choo Young Woo's New Historical Drama Confirms Broadcast Plans

JTBC’s new drama “Tale of Mrs. Ok” (literal title) has confirmed its broadcasting plans!

“Tale of Mrs. Ok” is a drama that tells the fierce survival and success stories of a female slave Ok Tae Young (Lim Ji Yeon) in the Joseon Dynasty who fakes her name, status, and even her husband. The drama also follows Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks his life to protect her.

Lim Ji Yeon has made a significant impact with her performances and is generating excitement for her upcoming role as a runaway slave posing as Ok Tae Young, the most talented person in Joseon. Choo Young Woo plays Cheon Seung Hwi, an artist who will risk everything for love, establishing him as the ultimate romanticist of Joseon.

Additionally, Yeonwoo, with her wide acting range, plays Cha Mi Ryeong, who learns about outside affairs from Ok Tae Young and aspires to be like her. Rising star Kim Jae Won plays Sung Do Kyeom, a perfect young man admired by everyone in the neighborhood who always trusts and follows his sister-in-law Ok Tae Young.

Acclaimed actors Sung Dong Il and Kim Mi Sook are also joining the cast, completing a strong lineup. Sung Dong Il plays Sung Kyu Jin, Ok Tae Young’s father-in-law and the county magistrate who recognized her intelligence and abilities early on. Kim Mi Sook portrays Lady Han, a strong and wise grandmother dedicated to protecting the Ok family. She combines exceptional insight with warmth, and her graceful acting is sure to captivate the audience.

The production team said, “Popular actors Lim Ji Yeon, Choo Young Woo, Yeonwoo, and Kim Jae Won, known for their strong acting skills and unique styles, join seasoned actors Sung Dong Il and Kim Mi Sook, who have long been beloved by viewers.
