With the drama winding to a close, the stars of SBS’s “Connection” have shared their final thoughts!
Ji Sung, who starred in the drama as ace detective Jang Jae Kyung, remarked, “‘Connection,’ which was my first acting project in a long time, is a project that will really stand out in my memory. I feel truly sad about having to say goodbye to Jang Jae Kyung.”
When asked to choose a favorite scene, he replied, “It’s hard to pick just one. Each and every moment that I spent living as Jang Jae Kyung was precious to me.”
Ji Sung continued, “‘Connection’ is a drama in which the entire cast and crew gave our all in the hopes of conveying our unique message. I hope that it’s a drama that will remain in viewers’ memories for a long, long time.”
Jeon Mi Do, who starred as outspoken reporter Oh Yoon Jin, commented, “I feel so sad that it’s already the end.”
As for her favorite scene from the drama, she shared, “It’s hard to pick just one scene, but personally, the scene where Jang Jae Kyung knocks on the door knowing that Oh Yoon Jin has drugs in her possession left a deep impression on me. I think the image of Jang Jae Kyung struggling with withdrawal due to his drug addiction was depicted in a frightening way, so I think it really conveyed to many people just how dangerous drugs are.”
The actress went on to express her gratitude to the show’s viewers by saying, “Thank you for loving ‘Connection’ up until now.”
Kwon Yool, who played the ambitious villain Park Tae Jin, shared his regret at having to say goodbye to “Connection” and his co-stars.
“I still can’t believe that this drama that I pondered so fiercely on set and filmed so happily is already ending,” he said. “I wish we could have filmed a little longer. On top of that, so many people enjoyed ‘Connection’ that I feel even sadder to have to say goodbye.”
When asked to name the scenes he found most memorable, Kwon Yool responded, “Because the actors showed truly insane performances in each and every episode, there were so many amazing scenes that it’s hard to choose. But if I had to choose, I think my scenes together with Won Jong Soo [Kim Kyung Nam] and Oh Chi Hyun [Cha Yup] at the hideout were mostly great scenes.”
He added, “I’d like to sincerely thank the viewers who enjoyed watching the character of Park Tae Jin and generously gave ‘Connection’ so much love and interest up until the very end.”
Kim Kyung Nam, who took on the role of Won Jong Soo, revealed, “I spent each and every week eagerly waiting for [‘Connection’] to air, so I feel very sad thinking that it’s already over. I think that indicates how great my affection is for the people I worked with on this drama, as well as how happy I was filming it.”
The actor also chose the scenes with his character’s classmates as his personal favorites, noting, “As each of the friends’ ambitions and personalities came to light, the scenes were chock-full of tension, so I really liked them both when we were filming and while watching them later during the broadcast.”
He went on to conclude, “Thank you to the viewers who tuned in to ‘Connection’ with interest.”
Finally, Jung Soon Won, who played the role of Heo Joo Song, remarked, “I’m happy and grateful that ‘Connection’ received so much love. I, too, really enjoyed watching ‘Connection,’ to the point where I feel sad that the final episode has arrived. I think I’m going to keep missing ‘Connection’ for a while.”
As for his favorite scene, he revealed, “My favorite scene is the one where ‘Hulk Soo Jong’ rescues Oh Yoon Jin after she falls into danger.”
The actor continued, “I pray that I’ll be fortunate enough to meet another drama like this one, and I’d like to thank everyone who gave their love [to ‘Connection’].”
