tvN’s “Castaway Diva” has joined the weekend ratings fray!
On October 28, the new romantic comedy starring Park Eun Bin, Chae Jong Hyeop, and VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon (N) got off to a promising start. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Castaway Diva” took first place in its time slot across all cable channels with an average nationwide rating of 3.2 percent.
Meanwhile, MBC’s “My Dearest” continued its upward trend, achieving Part 2’s highest viewership ratings yet. The latest episode of the historical romance scored an average nationwide rating of 12.0 percent, taking first place in its time slot across all channels.
“My Dearest” was also the most-watched program of any kind to air on Saturday among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 3.7 percent.
SBS’s “The Escape of the Seven,” which shares a time slot with “My Dearest,” rose to an average nationwide rating of 5.6 percent for the night.
JTBC’s “Strong Girl Namsoon” dipped slightly to an average nationwide rating of 8.4 percent, though it still took first place in its time slot across all cable channels.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Life Your Own Life” remained the most-watched program of Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 14.7 percent.
