BTS’s Jungkook’s “Seven” Is Billboard’s No. 1 Global Song Of The Summer For 2023

BTS’s Jungkook’s “Seven” (featuring Latto) is officially Billboard’s 2023 Global Song of the Summer!

On September 7 local time, Billboard published its list of the “10 biggest global songs of the summer for 2023.” The list was determined by songs’ performance on Billboard’s “weekly Global 200, from charts dated June 10 to September 9, spotlighting the biggest songs worldwide from Memorial Day through Labor Day.”

Billboard’s Global 200 chart ranks songs based on streaming and sales activity from over 200 territories around the world—and Jungkook has enjoyed an uninterrupted reign at No. 1 ever since “Seven” first debuted at the top of the chart back in July. This week, “Seven” became the first song of 2023 to spend its first seven weeks on the Global 200 at No. 1, in addition to setting a new record for the most weeks at No. 1 of any song by a Korean artist.

Jungkook wasn’t the only Korean artist to make this year’s list, however: FIFTY FIFTY’s viral hit “Cupid” was also included in the top 10 Global Songs of the Summer 2023 at No. 7.
