In 2020, the world is forced into lockdown by the COVID pandemic. As remote work is popularized in order to keep the infection rate under control, a young man employed by a company in Tokyo moves to a country town on the Sanriku Coast in Miyagi Prefecture, which sustained severe damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami of 2011. Surrounded by the delicious bounty of the sea and mountains, he spends his days indulging in his favorite hobby, fishing. Through meeting his gutsy landlord, who also happens to be a talented cook, and interacting with the eccentric local residents, the young man discovers what makes him happiest.
