13 year old Sanae lives with her mother and little sister in a small town. Her fisherman grandfather also lives there and although she's fond of him, they're very distant to each other. One night, Sanae wakes up to the sound of heavy rain and in the morning her grandfather is dead. Frictions and difficulties leads to frustrations, which makes her run away from home and jump into her grandfather's fishing boat.
