After his father's disappearance, Makoto and his mother leave their town heading to a new one. Kenji lives a quiet life with his common-law wife, Haruka, who harbors a secret. Takeo, a widowed father raising his two children by himself, takes them for a drive to the beach. Yuichi, having returned to his parents' house for the first time in a while, is lured into the woods by a woman calling his name.

This is a quiet ode to four families of four men, intricately intertwined, moving from loss to rebirth.
