2022 MAMA Awards Announces Special Stages Featuring J-Hope, 32-Member Girl Group Collab, 3RACHA, And More

The 2022 MAMA Awards is set to feature several exciting special stages!

On November 16, a press conference for the 2022 MAMA Awards was held to give information on what is ahead for this year’s ceremony.

The annual MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) has rebranded this year as the MAMA Awards. Like previous years, various stars will be taking the stage to put on impressive performances.

BTS’s J-Hope will be performing his solo music for the first time on broadcast at the MAMA Awards. CP (Chief Producer) Yoon Shin Hye shared, “Being the first BTS member to release a solo album, [J-Hope] received high praise in Korea and abroad as he expressed honest personal stories and new growth. J-Hope’s solo stage will be revealed on broadcast for the first time at the MAMA Awards. BTS’s MAMA performances have always been legendary, and we have heard that J-Hope is practicing hard to once again create a performance that goes down in MAMA history.”

There are also many collaboration stages being prepared. On the second day, (G)I-DLE is set to perform with the rock band Jaurim, while Stray Kids’ 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) will be collaborating with Tiger JK and the “Squid Game” music producer Jung Jae Il. All 32 members of the fourth generation girl groups IVE, Kep1er, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, and NewJeans are also confirmed to take the stage together for a major collaboration on the first day.

The 2022 MAMA Awards will take place at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome in Japan on November 29 and 30.
