ZEROBASEONE has already made K-pop history with their debut mini album!
On July 10, ZEROBASEONE—a new project group formed on the Mnet survival show “Boys Planet“—made their official debut with their first mini album “YOUTH IN THE SHADE.”
According to Hanteo Chart, “YOUTH IN THE SHADE” sold a record-breaking total of 1,240,700 copies on its first day of sales alone, making it the first debut album ever to sell over 1 million copies in one day—or even in one week.
Not only has “YOUTH IN THE SHADE” set a new record for the highest first-day sales of any debut album in Hanteo history, but it has already managed to break the record for the highest first-week sales of any debut album in just one day.
Both previous records belonged to another Mnet survival show project group, X1, whose own debut mini album “QUANTUM LEAP” sold 268,008 copies on its first day and 524,007 copies in its first week back in 2019.
Additionally, ZEROBASEONE is now the male artist with the fifth-highest first-day sales in Hanteo history, bested only by SEVENTEEN, BTS, Stray Kids, and TXT.
Congratulations to ZEROBASEONE on their impressive new record!
