Yoon Bak has officially joined Chun Woo Hee and Kim Dong Wook in a new drama!
On March 9, Yoon Bak’s agency H& Entertainment shared that Yoon Bak will star in tvN’s upcoming drama “Beneficial Fraud” (literal translation).
“Beneficial Fraud” is a revenge drama about a con artist who lacks empathy and an attorney who is excessively empathetic by nature. In order to battle evil, these two polar opposites team up to form an unlikely alliance. The drama will be helmed by director Lee Soo Hyun, who previously worked with Kim Dong Wook on his 2020 drama “Find Me in Your Memory.”
Chun Woo Hee will star as Lee Ro Um, a genius fraudster with no empathy who makes a fortune with her thousand faces and flamboyant speech. Kim Dong Wook will play Han Moo Young, a handsome lawyer who needs to receive psychiatric treatment due to his excessive empathy, which can otherwise make it hard for him to function in daily life.
Yoon Bak will take on the role of Go Yo Han, a probation officer who protects and observes Lee Ro Um. Go Yo Han is a person who puts more value on his everyday duty of observing and protecting people on probation rather than having a stable job or a nice house. He finds pleasure in drinking cold beer and chatting with ex-convicts who he used to supervise.
Yoon Bak, who impressed through various dramas including “Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life,” “Forecasting Love and Weather,” and “Fanletter, Please,” will also greet viewers through the film “Swallow” which will be released on April 12. The film was screened for the first time at the 2022 Raindance Film Festival, one of the largest independent film festivals in the United Kingdom, and won the International Feature Award.
“Beneficial Fraud” is set to premiere on May 29 at 8:50 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
