Netflix upcoming series “Hellbound 2” has unveiled a new poster and trailer!
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Season 1 of “Hellbound” was set in a world where humans faced a frightening supernatural phenomenon: emissaries from hell appeared on Earth without warning and condemned people to hell. In “Hellbound 2,” the plot thickens as Min Hye Jin (Kim Hyun Joo), a lawyer for Sodo, gets entangled with the New Truth Society, the Arrowhead faction, and the shocking resurrection of New Truth leader Jung Jin Su (Kim Sung Cheol) and Park Jung Ja (Kim Shin Rok).
The released poster features Min Hye Jin along with the two resurrected individuals, Jung Jin Su and Park Jung Ja. Jung Jin Su and Park Jung Ja are captured facing each other, while Min Hye Jin stands between them with a determined look on her face. The poster also features an angel delivering a decree, suggesting that even eight years after Season 1, the decrees and demonstrations are still happening. The caption, “They were resurrected into a hellbound world,” hints at the chaos that Jung Jin Su’s and Park Jung Ja’s resurrections will bring to a world that has essentially become hell itself. The terrified expression of Jung Jin Su and the empty gaze of Park Jung Ja arouse curiosity about the kind of hell they must have experienced.
The accompanying trailer begins with a dramatic scene of Jung Jin Soo, engulfed in flames, coming back to life at the very spot where he was previously subjected to a demonstration.
The Arrowhead faction, now led by Miss Sunshine (Moon Geun Young), has grown even stronger during Jung Jin Su’s absence. Meanwhile, the New Truth Society is secretly protecting another resurrected individual, Park Jung Ja. Chairman Kim Jung Chil (Lee Dong Hee) and the chief of political affairs, Lee Soo Kyung (Moon So Ri), plan to use her to establish a new doctrine. At the same time, Min Hye Jin, who leads Sodo, is fiercely battling against both the New Truth Society and Arrowhead.
As Jung Jin Su reflects on the hell he experienced, he begins to devise a secret plan, and Park Jung Ja finally reveals herself to the public. The presence of these two resurrected individuals raises the suspense, leaving viewers to wonder if their return signifies the start of a new world or the emergence of an even greater hell.
