SBS’s upcoming drama “Connection” has released a new teaser!
“Connection” is a crime thriller starring Ji Sung as Jang Jae Kyung, a well-respected detective who is the ace of the narcotics unit. Although Jang Jae Kyung is a trusted detective who cares deeply about his principles, his world is turned upside down when he is kidnapped and forcibly addicted to a mysterious new drug against his will.
The latest teaser takes us on a journey through past and present, teasing a web of interconnected stories and mysteries. It starts with a glimpse into the past, where young Oh Yoon Jin (Kim Min Ju) finds herself in the same class as young Jang Jae Kyung (Cho Han Gyul). Fast forward to the present, and we see Jae Kyung recognizing Yoon Jin (Jeon Mi Do) in a restaurant, where she appears to be involved in a suspicious transaction. This moment likely marks the rekindling of their relationship after two decades.
Yoon Jin’s involvement in a drug case sparks speculation about her awareness of Jae Kyung’s struggles with addiction. Meanwhile, Jae Kyung reconnects with Park Jun Seo (Yoon Na Moo), his former schoolmate, who apologizes for a past incident. Despite Jae Kyung’s accusations, Jun Seo seems determined to make amends, even if they’re long overdue.
However, Jun Seo’s efforts seem to have been in vain, as Jae Kyung searches for him after a mysterious incident. The teaser hints at regret and anger, with someone lamenting Jae Kyung’s lack of understanding for Jun Seo in voice-over.
The teaser flashes back to the past, where the young Yoon Jin talks about the importance of friendship, juxtaposed with Park Tae Jin (Kwon Yool)’s haunting line in the present: “It’s not easy to kill a friend.” This ominous statement accompanies a series of perilous situations: Yoon Jin being strangled, Jae Kyung desperately administering CPR, a car plunging into water, and Yoon Jin trapped in a burning house. As the teaser wraps up, it flashes back to the past, focusing on a white flower sitting on a classroom desk and hinting at the tragic death of a classmate. Meanwhile, present-day Jae Kyung rushes toward an unknown danger, setting the stage for a gripping mystery to unfold.
