The upcoming sequel to “Veteran,” titled “I, the Executioner,” has released an action-packed teaser trailer!
Directed by Ryoo Seung Wan, known for “The Battleship Island” and “Escape from Mogadishu,” “Veteran” is a crime action film following a veteran investigation team pursuing an arrogant third-generation chaebol. The sequel “I, the Executioner” (formerly known as “Veteran 2”) continues the story of detective Seo Do Chul (Hwang Jung Min) and his crime investigation team, now joined by detective Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In).
The trailer released captures the signature excitement of the “Veteran” series. It opens with Seo Do Chul saying, “Didn’t I tell you not to live a life of crime?” The action scenes that follow promise a cathartic experience. Jung Hae In, joining the sequel as Park Sun Woo, showcases a new side of himself, raising anticipation for director Ryoo Seung Wan’s project.
Nine years after the 2015 hit “Veteran,” which attracted 13.41 million moviegoers and starred Hwang Jung Min and Yoo Ah In, “I, the Executioner” is set to return with a fresh take on the action crime genre. The film promises a new style and introduces elements not seen in previous installments. It will explore a world of incidents and accidents featuring distrustful citizens, criminals who exploit this distrust, and others committing crimes driven by misguided values.
