Watch: Gong Hyo Jin And Ryu Jun Yeol Chase Down Jo Jung Suk In Action-Packed Movie Teaser

On December 31, the upcoming car chase film “Hit and Run” released its first trailer.

“Hit and Run” tells the story of a police task force that specializes in hit-and-run accidents and their entanglement with a wealthy businessman and former F1 racer who can’t control his love for speed.

In the teaser, Gong Hyo Jin showed off her new stuntswoman skills with a prop gun and a bulletproof vest, leaping over cars to apprehend criminals. She also shows her character Eun Si Yeon’s relentless side by glaring at her junior officers from the back of a police cruiser.

Ryu Jun Yeol plays the youngest member of the task force, Seo Min Jae, who is a brilliant young rookie. In the trailer, he attempts to trap Jo Jung Suk into admitting that he was the one who caused the accident, but ends up being scolded by Gong Hyo Jin instead.

However, he also shows a more serious side of himself when he takes off his glasses and says intimidatingly to Jo Jung Suk, “I know people like you well… people who think that speed is everything.”

Jo Jung Suk plays a character who seems comical at first, living it up at parties and having a boyishly good time playing with cars on the race track, but quickly shows the dark side of his character. Throughout the trailer, he exhibits a tendency for random violence and doesn’t hesitate to ram the side of his car into the cars of the people that are chasing him down.

The film will premiere in South Korea in January 2019.
