TXT’s latest album has made a strong debut on the Billboard charts!
On October 22 local time, Billboard announced that TXT’s new album “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” had debuted at No. 3 on its famous Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.
With this achievement, TXT has become only the second K-pop artist in history to land four different albums in the top five of the Billboard 200, following BTS. They are also only the second K-pop artist to chart nine different albums on the Billboard 200.
Additionally, “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, meaning that it was the best-selling album of the week in the United States.
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” earned a total of 114,500 equivalent album units during the week ending on October 19. The album’s total score consisted of 106,000 traditional album sales and 8,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 11.53 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week. The album also racked up 500 track equivalent album (TEA) units in its first week.
Before “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL,” TXT previously entered the top five of the Billboard 200 with “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” (which peaked at No. 5), “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” (No. 4), and “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” (No. 1).
