TWICE tunes up for new release
K-pop girl band TWICE will return with a new release.

K-pop girl band TWICE is gearing up for a fresh release, according to its agency JYP Entertainment, Thursday.

"TWICE will film a music video for a new number until tomorrow, but we cannot disclose the exact date of the release as of now," the agency's spokesperson was quoted as saying.

The song's title is also being kept under wraps.

The spokesperson said: "We also cannot confirm whether Mina will join other members for the comeback."

Japanese member Mina has been on leave since July, due to extreme anxiety. She returned to Korea from Japan on Aug. 1, but a JYP official said she could not resume her schedules until she recovered.

TWICE ― Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu ― debuted in 2015 with the album "The Story Begins." It was catapulted to fame with tracks including "Cheer Up" (2016) and "Knock Knock" (2017). The band is on a world tour that ends on August 17.

Its latest album "FANCY YOU" was released in April.

On Aug. 9, leader Jihyo confirmed her relationship with K-pop singer Kang Daniel, the former member of boy group Wanna One.
