In just over a month, “The Roundup: Punishment” has already managed to beat the final box office record of its prequel “The Roundup: No Way Out”!
On May 26, the Korean Film Council announced that as of 11:30 a.m. KST that morning, “The Roundup: Punishment” had officially reached a total of 11,000,085 million moviegoers. The film was originally released on April 24, meaning that it took less than 33 days to hit the 11 million mark.
“The Roundup: Punishment” is now the fastest film of 2024 to surpass 11 million moviegoers, overtaking “Exhuma” (which took 40 days to reach the milestone).
Additionally, “The Roundup: Punishment”—which is the fourth installment in the hit “The Outlaws” series—has already overtaken the final total of approximately 10.68 million moviegoers recorded by the third “The Outlaws” film, “The Roundup: No Way Out.”
Congratulations to the film’s cast and crew!
