On June 5 at 4:40 p.m. KST, just six days after its release, “The Outlaws 3” officially surpassed 5 million moviegoers, making it the first Korean film of 2023 to do so. According to The Korean Film Council’s Korea Box-office Information System (KOBIS), the film surpassed 1 million by the second day, 2 million by the third, 3 million by the fourth, 4 million by the fifth, and now 5 million by the sixth day.
The film is already garnering more moviegoers at a faster rate than “The Outlaws 2,” which recorded 5 million moviegoers 10 days after its initial release. “The Outlaws 3” is also the first film since last year’s “The Outlaws 2,” “Hansan: Rising Dragon,” and “Confidential Assignment 2: The International” to surpass 5 million moviegoers.
To celebrate reaching this impressive milestone, the cast of “The Outlaws 3,” including Ma Dong Seok, Lee Joon Hyuk, Munetaka Aoki, Kim Min Jae, Go Kyu Pil, Jeon Seok Ho, and Ahn Se Ho, along with director Lee Sang Yong shared handwritten messages thanking viewers!
