“The Outlaws 2” (“The Roundup”) Surpasses Its Prequel At Box Office As It Soars Past 7 Million Moviegoers In Just 2 Weeks

“The Outlaws 2” (also known as “The Roundup”) has already bested its hit prequel at the box office!

The sequel to Ma Dong Seok’s popular 2017 action film “The Outlaws,” “The Outlaws 2” follows the exciting adventures of legendary detective Ma Seok Do and his police station’s violent crimes squad as they chase down a powerful new villain (played by Son Suk Ku).

On June 1, the Korean Film Council announced that “The Outlaws 2” had officially surpassed 7 million moviegoers—meaning that it took less than 14 days to reach the milestone.

Not only is “The Outlaws 2” now the fastest movie since the award-winning 2019 film “Parasite” to reach 7 million moviegoers, but within just two weeks, it has already managed to overtake the final total of 6,880,546 moviegoers recorded by the original “The Outlaws” film.
