Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Gu’s new movie “The Outlaws 2” (also known as “The Roundup”) is breathing new life into the Korean box office!
On May 21, the film’s production company ABO Entertainment officially announced that as of 12:30 p.m. KST, “The Outlaws 2” had reached a total of 2,001,105 moviegoers. The action movie was first released on May 18, meaning that it took less than four days to reach the milestone.
With this latest achievement, “The Outlaws 2” has become the fastest film in three years to surpass 2 million moviegoers, breaking the previous record of five days held by the hit 2020 film “Deliver Us from Evil.”
“The Outlaws 2” also previously set a new record for the biggest box office opening in South Korea since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The highly-anticipated sequel to Ma Dong Seok and Yoon Kye Sang‘s hit 2017 action film “The Outlaws,” “The Outlaws 2” follows the exciting adventures of legendary detective Ma Seok Do and his police station’s violent crimes squad as they fight to eradicate crime.
