The battle of the historical dramas is heating up!
According to Nielsen Korea, the second episode of KBS’s new historical drama, “The King’s Affection,” recorded average nationwide ratings of 6.7 percent. This is a slight increase from its premiere ratings of 6.2 percent, which it recorded the day before on October 11.
SBS’s popular historical fantasy drama “Lovers of the Red Sky” maintained its No. 1 streak at 8.8 percent, the exact same ratings as the day before.
The two dramas air at slightly different times, with “The King’s Affection” starting at 9:30 p.m. and “Lovers of the Red Sky” airing at 10 p.m.
On tvN, “High Class” (which normally starts even later at 10:30 p.m. KST) did not air on October 12 due to the live broadcast of the World Cup preliminaries.
