“The Fiery Priest” Sets New Personal Best In Nationwide Viewership Ratings

SBS’s “The Fiery Priest” continues to rise!
According to data released by Nielsen Korea, episodes 29 and 30 that aired on April 5 scored nationwide viewership ratings of 15.5 percent and 19.8 percent respectively. This sets a new record for the drama and made it the most-watched drama of its time slot. The drama even peaked at 23.65 percent in real-time ratings with the final scene of the night.
The Friday-Saturday drama has been praised for its strong storylines, fast-paced action, and talented actors. It follows the story of Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil), a priest who takes matters into his own hands to seek out justice.
The latest episodes took him on a search to collect proof that Chief Nam was the true owner of Club Rising Moon in the form of account books that showed how they were cooking the books. Kim Hae Il’s sincerity helped move things forward and he was able to get a one-up on the cartel, giving viewers a sense of relief and satisfaction.
“The Fiery Priest” airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m. KST.
