In a new interview and pictorial for Dazed Korea magazine, Stray Kids’ Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N talked about their recent promotions for their latest album “★★★★★ (5-STAR)“!
Stray Kids enjoyed unprecedented success during their most recent comeback, with “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” setting a new record for the highest first-week sales of any album in Hanteo history.
Lee Know humbly commented, “I think that we received a huge gift from STAY [Stray Kids’ fandom] while promoting ‘S-Class.’ Our fans always spend a great deal of time and love on us. Thanks to them, our album was able to receive a better response. Our promotions felt like a really big gift to us. I’m truly grateful.”
Seungmin also recently made a memorable appearance on MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer,” where his fans recognized him right away due to his distinctive vocal tone.
When asked about his performances on the singing competition, Seungmin shared, “I didn’t have any intention of hiding my identity by changing my voice or singing style. But even I agree that because my voice is so clear [in terms of its distinctive tone], it became impossible for me to hide my identity. I just worked hard to do a good job singing on stage, thinking that I wanted to show everything I’d honed up until now.”
“I do have some regrets,” he continued, “but I was really happy while preparing, and it was an opportunity for me to ponder my feelings about music once again.”
Finally, I.N opened up about his hopes for the future, revealing, “I hope we don’t mature. I want us to keep living just as we are now, promoting under the name Stray Kids, traveling to many countries all around the world and performing while also trying out a wide variety of music genres.”
He went on to add, “Ah, but on a personal level, I really want to try busking no matter what. That’s just a small dream of mine.”
