SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong Confirmed For Lee Yo Won And Yoo Ji Tae’s New Spy Drama

SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong will be appearing in a new drama!
On February 1, it was reported that Kim Kyu Jong began filming for the upcoming MBC drama “Lee Mong” (literal title).
“Lee Mong” is a spy melodrama that takes place in Gyeongseong (present-day Seoul), Manchuria, and Singapore during the Japanese occupation. The historical drama will tell the story about a Korean surgeon who has been raised by Japanese parents and the leader of a secret society fighting for Korean independence who become undercover operatives for the Korean provisional government based in Shanghai.
Kim Kyu Jong will appear as a surgeon named Sung Jun Soo who works alongside surgeon Lee Young Jin (played by Lee Yo Won) at the Joseon Government General Hospital. He’s someone who’s content with life and has a charming smile.
His agency CI Entertainment said, “Kim Kyu Jong was cast and is working hard at filming. He’s putting a lot of effort into portraying Sung Jun Soo, so please look forward to the charms he’ll show in the drama and show him support for his various promotions.” Kim Kyu Jong debuted in 2005 as a member of SS501 and began acting in 2011, starring in dramas such as “28 Faces of the Moon.”
“Lee Mong,” which features a cast including Lee Yo Won, Yoo Ji Tae, Im Joo Hwan, Nam Gyu Ri, and Kim Kyu Jong, will premiere in May.
