K-pop singer Park Ji-min, 22, has grabbed attention with a preview of the video for her new single "Stay Beautiful."
The song has special meaning for Park as this is the last she will produce with JYP Entertainment after seven years. JYP Entertainment released the preview through social media channels at midnight Thursday.
"I filmed the music video with my friends who are actually close to me, which made me more comfortable while shooting it," Park said. "For the fans who have been waiting for my single, thank you for waiting again."
The video clip shows Park having fun with her friends in the time of her youth ― on the grass and strolling in streets.
The preview clip follows another video released earlier Thursday. With the title "Stay Beautiful Live Spoiler," Park hits perfect notes as her voice shows its R&B side.
To support the songs, the agency also released teaser images for the single's concept to boost fan curiosity.
"Stay Beautiful" is written and composed by Park. The song tells people "not to care about what other people think and just love themselves."
The new digital single will be released in two formats ― the second is the "Jamie" version of the song. Jamie is an English name that she adopted, and Park says she becomes her "other self" when singing under this nickname.
The single will be released Aug. 26 through various music streaming websites.
Park received huge attention when she won "K-pop Star 2," which aired on SBS in 2012. Her main competitor then was Lee Hi, who is now a singer with YG Entertainment.
After the competition, Park joined JYP Entertainment, where she formed a duo called "15&" with Baek Ye-rin.
