Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
This month, SEVENTEEN earned two separate Circle certifications for their latest mini album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN.”
Not only did SEVENTEEN receive a quadruple million certification for the regular version of the mini album (for over 4 million copies sold), but the Weverse version of the mini album was also certified platinum (for selling over 250,000 copies).
Meanwhile, TXT’s latest album “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” was awarded a double million certification for over 2 million copies sold.
Both IVE’s new mini album “I’VE MINE” and NCT 127’s latest album “Fact Check” earned million certifications for selling over 1 million copies each.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé’s solo debut single album “R” was also certified triple platinum for selling over 750,000 copies since its release in 2021.
Over in the streaming category, IVE’s smash hit “I AM,” LE SSERAFIM’s 2022 debut track “FEARLESS,” and An Nyeong’s 2019 ballad “Dial Your Number” were all certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
