The Japan Gold Disc Awards has revealed this year’s winners!
On March 13, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) officially announced the winners of the 38th Japan Gold Disc Awards—and numerous K-pop artists took home prizes.
SEVENTEEN snagged a total of six awards this year, including Best Asian Artist. The group also won Album of the Year (Asia) for their Korean mini album “FML,” as well as all three of this year’s Best 3 Albums (Asia) for “FML,” their Korean mini album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN,” and their Japanese compilation album “ALWAYS YOURS.” Finally, SEVENTEEN claimed Music Video of the Year (Asia) for “SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [BE THE SUN] JAPAN.”
Over in the new artists category, LE SSERAFIM won New Artist of the Year (Asia) for 2024. This year’s Best 3 New Artists (Asia) awards went to LE SSERAFIM, RIIZE, and NewJeans.
BTS’s Jungkook won Song of the Year by Download (Asia) for his official solo debut single “Seven” (featuring Latto), while NewJeans won Song of the Year by Streaming (Asia) for their hit title track “OMG.”
Finally Stray Kids won of this year’s Best 5 Singles awards with their Japanese single “Social Path (feat. LiSA) / Super Bowl -Japanese ver.-“
