Child of the sun (Movie)

At the end of World War II, the Navy secretly ordered the physics laboratory of Kyoto Imperial University to develop a new type of bomb using nuclear fission energy. While the researchers are working on nuclear energy research to save Japan, they are struggling over whether they should advance the development of weapons. Osamu Ishimura, a student who likes research, also repeatedly experimented with nuclear bomb development, and on the other hand, he gets a brief peace in living together with his childhood friend Setsu Asakura, who lost his home due to the evacuation of a building, and his younger brother Yuyuki, who returned from the battlefield for a while. The development of the new bomb does not progress slowly, and researchers gradually begin to have doubts about the continuation of research. Before long, just as Hiroyuki's assignment to the battlefield was decided, a news of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima City arrived. Researchers who went to Hiroshima will witness the city of Hiroshima that has become scorched earth.
